Codie Sanchez: Speaker. Entrepreneur. Investor.

Codie Sanchez is an entrepreneur, investor, speaker and the Head of Latin America for First Trust Portfolios. She’s raised billions of dollars over the last 10 years in asset management, consulted on investing at some of the world’s most powerful institutions such as Apple, Facebook, Amazon, and invested in/advised 24 startups to date. Prior to that she worked on Wall Street at Goldman Sachs, State Street and Vanguard and started two companies before she turned 30. In her podcast, The Struggle Isn’t Real, and on her website www.codiesanchez.com, she highlights tools from renegades in the world of business who never liked coloring inside the lines.

She started her career as journalist where she won the JFK Award for Print Journalism as well as a grant from the Howard Buffett Foundation. She has been featured on The Today Show, Forbes, Fast Company, People en Espanol Business Wire, among others.

She has an MBA from Georgetown University, Masters from ESADE and FGV, and a BA from Arizona State University.

She believes if we can increase the number of diverse individuals and minorities in positions of power we will have a better world to pass on to the next generation.
